Battery- and UltraCap-Management

The Stercom Battery Management System (BMS) organizes an optimal balancing strategy for the entire stack, controls the auxiliary components such as disconnectors or precharge and communicates with the energy management or the external diagnostics. The autoconfig function allows the automatic configuration of important stack parameters without complex programming.

The precise voltage and temperature values of the SMCs as well as a high-precision charge measurement are the basis for a reliable SoH determination for many cell technologies. This means that superior 2D and 3D battery models not only provide reliable information on the aging status of the entire battery, our patented differential measuring method also detects deviations in the SoH of individual cells during operation.

This data can be passed on to a higher-level energy management or charger, which enables a gentle and adapted charging strategy for every application.
